How to choose the right Staple

A staple is a small but important part of a toilet cubicle lock system, fixed to the pilaster or wall, it's what the door's lock or indicator bolt actually engages with when the door is closed and locked. Before ordering, identify the lock and indicator set already fitted, or being specified, to the door, since staples are matched to a specific series rather than being fully universal. Lift-off staples are worth considering for busy facilities, they let maintenance staff remove and reset the door more easily during servicing.

Choose between bolt-through and screw-fix based on how much load the fitting will see and how the panel is constructed, bolt-through gives a stronger, more tamper-resistant fixing and is often specified for schools, stadiums and other high-use public facilities. Match the finish to the rest of your hardware, satin chrome plate and designer black are the most common choices, with anti-microbial finishes available where hygiene is a priority.
